Electro One

Electro One (DCE-005) is a limited-edition 12″ released under the alias Master Data, marking a new chapter in the DCE Records catalogue. The EP expands the label’s scope into stripped-back electro, while maintaining the raw, machine-focused ethos that defines its earlier releases. Every element is derived from hardware sequencing and real-time manipulation, resulting in a tightly controlled yet immediate sound.

The tracks are driven by punchy drum patterns, syncopated basslines, and icy synth leads, drawing influence from early electro and minimalist techno. The compositions favour tension and restraint over density, creating space for each component to shift and evolve within a precise framework. Despite its minimalism, the record carries the physical intensity and sonic detail associated with DCE’s live performance style.

Electro One reinforces the label’s commitment to physical formats and hands-on production methods. It stands out not only for its sound but also for its presentation—crafted in small numbers with attention to process and fidelity. The release is a continuation of DCE’s core principles: live synthesis, physical sound, and an uncompromising approach to underground electronic music.
